Join us in Norwich, Connecticut as we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. The America’s 250th Norwich CT Committee is thrilled to produce a series of town-wide initiatives taking place from July 4, 2025-December 31, 2026. The year and a half long commemoration will include community events, memorial installations, and educational programs designed to honor our past.

Please join us for a powerful dedication ceremony honoring the life and legacy of Primus Armes, a formerly enslaved man in Norwich. The Primus Armes mural will be unveiled during a special ceremony on Saturday, May 9 at 11:00 AM, celebrating a meaningful new public art and history project in Norwichtown. This event will recognize the Black and Indigenous soldiers connected to Norwich’s Revolutionary history and invite the community to reflect, remember, and honor their stories.
